So, who’s involved in HudsonUP?

The founders of the project are Susan Danziger and Albert Wenger, community activists who live in the Hudson Valley and love the city of Hudson.

We’re working with the Mayor of Hudson, Kamal Johnson, as well as the Department of Social Services of Columbia County.

We’re the product of a partnership between an innovative educational resource center, The Spark of Hudson, and Humanity Forward, the non-profit organization founded by former Democratic Presidential nominee Andrew Yang.

Last but not least: we’re thrilled to be working with leaders in the Hudson community. Local organizers are a big part of our team, and we’re reaching out to religious leaders because we want to make this project community-driven. Joan Hunt, the Executive Director of the community outreach center Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, is on our advisory committee. Kaya Weidman, Co-Founder and Executive Director of local educational center kite’s nest, is on our advisory committee as well. So is Jabin Ahmed, a community organizer, writer, artist, and activist who co-founded Hudson Muslim Youth. And we’re working with the Columbia County Sanctuary Movement, a local organization that organizes with immigrants and allies to support immigrant communities.
