PRESS RELEASE: HudsonUP Launches Second Cohort

HudsonUP has been providing guaranteed monthly payments of $500 to 25 selected Hudson residents for one year. These 25 residents will continue to receive their monthly payments for four more years, but we will not stop there.

We are excited to announce that 50 additional residents of the city of Hudson will be selected again this year to receive $500 each month, or a total of $30,000. This will mean that over 1% of the city’s population will be receiving basic income.

The eligibility criteria will remain the same, all residents of the city of Hudson who are over the age of 18 and earn less than the annual median income ($39,364) can enter the lottery, which is now live and will remain open until 9/30/2021 at 11:59PM (ET).

Selected residents will be notified by October 6.
